Through the NT.VMR and in cooperation with the holding institutions INTF permits access to images of New Testament manuscripts. INTF itself is dedicated to open access for all the content displayed through the NT.VMR. For some of the manuscript images, however, the agreement with the holding institutions does not currently permit open access but restricts use of the images for scholarly purposes only. In such cases the images can only be viewed via login access. A system for registration and login will be implemented soon. Images that are freely available will continue to be open access, as well as thumbnails and, if available, transcriptions of manuscripts that fall under the said agreement.
